Help with Disc One.
Disc One is coming to Apple TV and iPhone in autumn 2026. Until then, and after, this is where the answers live.
Getting started
Open Disc One on Apple TV or iPhone and allow access to your Photo Library when asked. The app reads your videos where they already are, including those kept in iCloud Photos, and builds the shelf from them. The first build of a large library takes a little while; your discs appear as they are ready.
A video is missing from a disc
Screenshots are always left out, and clips under half a second are skipped. Clips under two seconds go to Outtakes, Live Photos to Behind the Scenes and screen recordings to Deleted Scenes. Anything in the Photos Hidden album stays hidden. If a clip should be there and isn't, check that it is in your main Photo Library rather than a shared album.
Renaming, cast and covers
Every disc and chapter can be renamed, and each disc has its own cast and cover. These are kept in your own iCloud account and follow you between Apple TV and iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account.
Collector's Edition
Turn on Collector's Edition in Settings and the shelf is built from your albums instead of your years: one disc for each album with at least three videos.
Deleting your data
Disc One never changes your Photo Library. To remove your renames, casts and covers, delete the app on each device; to remove the synced copy too, remove Disc One's data under iCloud storage in your device settings.
