A UK production service company is the local partner an international production hires to execute a shoot in Britain — crew, locations, permits, kit, logistics and compliance, run by producers who already know the ground.
In Color provides that service from two bases, London and Dorset, covering the capital, the South West, the Jurassic Coast and the coastlines past them. We source and book UK crew, scout and secure locations, handle council and landowner permits, manage travel and accommodation, and advise on UK film and high-end television tax relief. We work small by design — a limited number of productions a year, each producer-led. Where a project runs beyond the UK, we work with partners in South Africa, Iceland and Slovenia.

For international productions shooting in the UK, we are the partner on the ground. For UK productions going abroad, we hold the job from London and our partners run the ground — Groundglass in South Africa, TrueNorth in Iceland and the Nordics, Two Point O in Slovenia.
Common questions
Do you work with production companies based outside the UK?
Yes. Production service is a core part of what we do. International agencies, brands and production companies bring us in as their UK partner — we crew, scout, permit and run the shoot on the ground, and hand back the material to your team.
Where in the UK do you shoot?
London and the South West, from two production bases. We know Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Devon, the Dorset coast and the Jurassic Coast in detail, and move projects between the city and the coast without the usual logistical overhead.
Can you advise on UK film and television tax relief?
We can. UK productions may qualify for expenditure credits on film, high-end television and animation. We advise on eligibility and structure as part of the service, and work alongside your production accountant or ours.
How large are the productions you take on?
We take on a small number of productions a year. That is deliberate — the projects we say yes to are the ones we can produce personally, producer-led from brief to delivery.
Do you produce original work as well as service work?
Yes. In Color develops and produces original shorts and long-form alongside commercial work. That slate shapes how we think about story, performance and the economics of independent production.
